Hi fellow sufferers,
I'm hoping someone can offer a little direction as to my problem. I'll be brief in my description. Both feet sting/burn, hands always feel tingly, knees and ankles hurt, constant brain fog, dizzy, lightheaded and I have diffculty concentrating.
Up until 6 years ago I was able to eat about anything when I had two diverticulum rupture, had emergency surgery, 12 inches of my colon removed and had to wear a stoma bag for 3 months then had the reversal. 2 years after that I had my gall bladder removed which is when my food problems began.
I noticed that after eating ice cream I would have stomach cramps and became very uncomfortable. A few months afer that I would get pains in my lower stomach that would send me to the emergency room they hurt so bad. Things continued to go from bad to worse. After doing a little research I thought I was lactose intollerant so I eliminated all dairy which seemed to help a little.
3-4 months went by then I began to notice I was depressed and anxious all the time and I would develop a small rash on my left elbow only and it would last 2-3 months. All the time my feet were killing me, joint and muscle pain was getting worse and I was now seeing a pain mgmt doctor.
I have had two celiac panel tests run and both have come back negative. All I know is after I eat a hamburger I get dizzy and lightheaded. Also...I have purhcased several "gluten free" items and after eating them I also get dizzy, lightheaded and very anxious. What do I do? How do I really determine if gluten is my problem? I have also thought that a nightshade allergy might be my problem.
I have no faith in docors as I have seen no less than 10 different ones in the past 5 years. All they want to do is put me on some kind of anti-depression med or Lyrica. I know I'm rambling but I have no idea what to do. Anyone have any ideas? |

Have you been tested to see if Fibro might be some of your problem? Accidents or illness (ie: surgery) can bring on the symptoms of fibro. nearly all of the symptoms you have up seem to fit in the Fibro category. (of course that is a melting pot of symptoms and it also goes with gastro issues and foods that bring them on.)
You need to start keeping a meticulous food journal of everything consumed and your reactions after.
It sounds as if Beef might be a prb. (My MIL had horrible pains when eating beef after her gallbladder was removed.)
you could also be allergic to any or all of the ingredients in the GF item you have eaten in the past. (my husband can not have most of the ingredients in prepared foods. he went from no food allergies to being allergic to: corn, wheat, pineapples, peanuts, citrus, shellfish, pork. He also has environmental reactions.)
It is a long process to weed out the offenders. We later found out that salicylates are a huge trigger for my hubby. So this further limits his veggies and fruits to prob. less than 10 things he can have.
I hope this helps you out some. I also hope you get to feeling better soon! _________________

I also had about 12 inches of my colon removed due to diverticulitis and a volvulous. I'm having a lot of cramping and pain when I eat normal meals. I do ok with small snacks. I can't figure it! I was supposed to feel fantastic after the surgery. I just don't.
I'm wondering if I have some scarring or maybe my body doesn't like the titanium staples that are in there.
I also have a lot of leg and foot pain since the surgery. I can barely walk most days. I also developed sacroiliitis. Not fun! My doctor says it arthritis. She hasn't checked me for RA and I really wish she would.
As far as being gf, I've been gf for almost 23 years now, so I'm positive it has nothing to do with that at all.
I also want to add, I asked my doctor if the entire mess could redevelop in the part of my colon that is still there. She said, of course it can!
Maybe you should have a colonoscopy and or a ct scan to see what's going on in your colon. It's just a thought. Oh and there is a type of arthritis you can get after having certain types of infections.
I hope you get some answers and start feeling better soon. _________________ Denise
