I've never had it, but I hear it is good.

Deb - I found another gummy fish oil - country Life Dolphin Pals. I took these for a while too after a glutening. It certainly was easier on my tummy than the reg capsules. _________________ son - high ttg - 4/09, pos. biopsy 5/09

I have been taking a fish oil capsule called MegaTears, by MedOp. My boss gave them to me. I called the company, no gluten, no soy. You are suppose to take 4 per day, I only take 1...it's a 1000mg softgel. It isn't helping my dry eyes at all, but it does seem to work for my tummy. The jury's still out.
Thank you though, they may be my next trial fish oil. _________________ You can't discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore! |

wow, yeah 4000 mg day would be a lot but that is considered a therapeutic dose. anywhere from 2000 to 4000. Very glad to hear it's working for your tummy. _________________ son - high ttg - 4/09, pos. biopsy 5/09

I just read ypur post and I am curious as to how you're doing.
I have terrible constipation myself. Haven't been dx but tested positive for wheat allergy and have a CD daughter. Trying to stay GF and dairy f has been hard as I have many food cravings and seemed to crave the whaet which is poisonous to my body.
Would love to know any new discoveries you've made on your journey.

I see someone has brought this thread up again. I just wanted to let you all know, I had to stop the fish oil. It was causing major problems for my system. I was glutened, and a month later, I was still having issues..I then stopped the fish oil. A week or so later, I was feeling much better. Maybe it did contain gluten after all.
I had also called another fish oil company that my boss uses...they also told me there was no gluten and no soy in their product. Soy is listed right on the bottle.

Hi Deb
Is it possible to describe your problems before going G.F? Have your problems solved since going G.F? |

My symptoms before gluten free...daily diarrhea, often throughout the night, panic attacks, weight gain, neuropathy, to name a few. My neuro tells me I have sprue, and that's why I am so sensitive to gluten, even the less than 20ppm that many can tolerate.
After going gluten free, I lost 60#, stopped taking Paxil for panic, and most of the time, never dealt with diarrhea. Over the years though, more intolerance's reared their ugly heads, and I was often sick, either from them or from gluten cross contamination. Finally, after 9 years, my neuropathy is better, I never have diarrhea, very rare do I have a panic attack, and I am still trying to lose weight, again. During the years of the intolerance's appearing, I gained weight again. It seems whenever my body deals with an intolerance, it gains over time.
I no longer eat any grains, no red meat, no nightshades, no cruciferous veggies, no dairy, and of course, no gluten. _________________ You can't discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore! |
