Tonight was a very weird family dinner at Grandma's house...boiled shrimp, rice, corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes, squash and zucchini with tomatoes. For dessert we had frosted brownies. Who other than my grandmother puts frosting on brownies!?! Odd meal...didn't really go together but I didn't have to cook so I guess I should complain.

Al,
Another unique way to get your SBR fix is with the recipe Burgers with Roquefort Mayonnaise and Barbecued Red Onions at epicurious.com. I went one summer when I forgot the roquefort was to be turned into mayo and simply topped the burgers with the cheese. More recently though I've taken the easy and much less expensive method of using good quality blue cheese dressing that's always in my refrigerator.

Got back late last night, so we had sandwiches for dinner. Well, mine was waffle with cheese/turkey and a peach! Laughing

Tonight, most likely Protein shake and a waffle! Surprised

I have to ask....what's up with the waffles? I know you're busy, so I understand the protein shake. But waffles? Shocked

Well, back in my pre-gluten free days, I had a protein shake with toast. So now, instead of the bread, I just toss in a waffle and dress it like I do toast. Part is I try not to eat after 7:00 and just a shake leaves me hungry by 9:00 and the other part is psycho me, if I don't chew something, it isn't a meal! Laughing Did I mention I am INSANE like that???

When the fam has sandwiches, I just put my toppings on a waffle, they are cheaper and I honestly like the taste better than with gf bread.

ODD is what I am! When I tell people I just have a waffle instead of bread, they all think I am NUTS!

I will have to show that to my kids. I need a break from that annoying badgerbadgerbadger thing they are always viewing. Makes me want to gouge my eyes out with an icepick.

Track #27 from Parry Gripp's For Those About to Shop, We Salute You. I also like Great Nachos, Great Price.

I'm giving you ideas for dinner. This is totally on-topic.

Mashed Red Potatoes with a few drizzles of EVOO
Meatloaf with A1
Fresh Green Beans

For a 2nd serving I tried a piece of meatloaf with SBR's. I prefer the A1.

Good to know A1 is GF! I never used the stuff before going GF, but my standard BBQ sauce is NGF.

Tonight is leftover "ostrich pancakes" (365 pancake mix with vanilla and cinnamon) and (not ostrich) eggs. Next week is fried rice and garlic and chicken.
