Hey all...
Does anyone know of any safe, wheat-free, gluten-free prenatal vitamins? I don't know where to begin. I am trying to find some before I get pregnant! I want to avoid being sick all the time because of the vitamins. Please pass along anything you know...any info. will be helpful!! Thanks! |

I got "Mother to be" brand prenatals - but it looks like since I got it, they changed their formula to include barley grass.
I'm still taking them when I have need, as I am nursing - but I am leery. I don't feel like I've been getting glutened though.
Wholefoods had other gluten free brands, but off hand I can't remember what they were. There's a formula here in Germany, but it tastes worse than Mother to be, and I feel funny when I take it (it sits on my stomach funny). |

Now brand claims to be "Free of: yeast, wheat, corn, soy, milk, egg, sugar, salt, preservatives."
No mention of gluten but might be worth a call. 888-669-3663 _________________ Sandi ~ learning to live in a world obsessed and infested with wheat.

Rainbow Light brand Prenatal One states no gluten on the label. They also have a more involved system that I believe is also GF, but it is something like 6 pills a day.(6 pills, really? During morning sickness, and even beyond, when it's all you can do to choke down 1 pill? What were they thinking?) _________________ Jen

Nature's Blend brand vitamins are what I am currently buying. They are widely available, inexpensive, and they say right on the label that they are gluten free. _________________ -Colleen

Mine are the same way. The most I could ever take was 4, and there for a while I could only take 2 a day, the baby would not tolerate more. |

HI ,,,
We have tried many alternative health specialists as well as standard medical practitioners.
We were first recommended to go on FertilAid for Women by FairHaven Health.
Another product we use is FeFol Multi Preg One a day (contains BabySmart for improved hand eye coordination.
We also take a suite of seperate vitamins such as B group, Vitamin E, FishOil etc. We dont take more than two that contain the same vitamin group to avoid toxicity effects.
Its a complicated process, but of course every day that you have since stopping gluten foods means a day closer to your body being able to take in the vitamins you are giving it.
Just got to keep trying ...

I am taking Garden of Life raw prenatals. They are "raw, gluten free, dairy free and has no soy allergens." I only have to take 3 a day. I do have to take a separate fish oil supplement, but I take those anyway.

Target brand prenatals are gluten free, and you only have to take one a day. |
