I am heading to Omaha this weekend with my daughter (who is 6) and I will be taking care of my friends 2 girls (age 3 and 5) the whole weekend. We are staying at a Marriott and plan to spend a lot of time at the pool or coloring or just having fun. Meals are what I am worried about. I will pack gf snacks for myself, any good suggestions for restaurants?
Thanks

I'm sorry you have to travel to Omaha.
We really only have the main chains around here: PF Chang's, Biaggi's, Chilli's, Outback, etc. We also have a Whole Foods if you need to pick up more snacks.
Do you need directions to any of the restaurants? _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

OH I am not sorry at all! I was just there 2 weeks ago. We love Omaha, the zoo and such. And keep in mind, I live in KS...not much difference! Is that where you are??? How fun!
Where is the whole foods store? The others I think I can find!
THANKS

Sadly I don't think I'll have time for a Close Encounter this weekend. I'm working and babysitting. But make sure you hit me up next time you're here!
The Whole Foods is off I-680 and Dodge. Be careful getting there. Those streets were designed by a madman. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

Nope, it's the stockyards.
We're a veritable ocean of culture and refinement. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

You guys are too funny! I think my hotel is really close to that Whole foods store. If I am remembering correctly, like within blocks! COOL Thanks
I will hook up with you next time. We go there often due to our close friends that live there. Besides, I doubt you would want to see me this time. I will have 3 girls with me, ages 6, 5 and 3! I think we will live in the pool and when we are tired, movies and crafts in the room!
Definitely next time OS!

Al - It could also be the refinement plant near the river. The one that gifts the breeze with the scent of roadkill.
No, I'm not making this up.
*whines about moving*
Monica - It's a date! We'll have to do some Omaha-type stuff, like go to the zoo, and....uh.................um............ _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

If you're feeling really adventurous (and gas is cheaper) we can take a day trip to the bridge to nowhere.
Last weekend was the Omaha Street of Dreams, where you get to see how big a house you can get for $800k.
We still might be able to hit up Rosenblatt stadium. I don't know when they're tearing it down.
I'm actually not sure where Warren Buffet lives.
Honestly, if you want an accurate dose of what Omaha (and the surrounding area) is like, go watch Election. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

Wow, such neat sights! We do the zoo each time we come. We just were there 2 weeks ago, so we won't go this time. Last time we also did the Children's museum. The kids LOVED that. It was ok for us adults!
I was Right, Whole foods is right by my hotel! COOL |
