Hi everyone!
I was just wondering if someone had experience with gluten free in Italy?
Next year I might be going on a 12-day trip to Italy with school and I'm not sure if I should do it. We are staying at different hotels every few days so it's really hard to make good arrangements. What would you guys do?
Do you know if celiac disease is well-known in Italy? _________________ --*Jipps*--

I haven't made it to Italy yet, but I live in Germany. My German teacher (ironically enough) was Italian. She said that there are so many options as far as GF goes in Italy, and just about every supermarket, apothecary or dietary store has GF items. The rate of celiacs in Italy is generally higher than in the rest of Europe apparently.
Many of the products we get here in Germany are based out of Italy (especially noodle products). Even the Celiac Society here is advertising holidays in Italy ""Hassle free!"".
Let us know how it goes! I want to make it down to Mailand (Milano) sometime... _________________
