Culture Slayer, if your out at a pub try hard cider. Most places carry at least one kind and it's more "beer-like" than mixed drinks.

Beware of Hornsby's draft cider. See http://www.ymlp.com/pubarchive_show_message.php?celiacnews+5
Woodchuck should be OK, this is from their FAQ:
Q. I have a medical condition such that I cannot tolerate any gluten physically. Are your products gluten free?
A.
We have received many emails asking this very question. These emails lead us to test Woodchuck Draft Ciders for gluten. You will be happy to know that all five styles of Woodchuck Draft Ciders are gluten free! (Amber, Dark & Dry 802, Granny Smith, Pear, and Raspberry). _________________ Gene in Tucson, AZ

I know that was from an old list, but does anyone know if Hornsby's is still NOT GF??
Just curious because I had some the other day...I didn't have a reaction, but you never know about the silent ones... _________________ ~Torrey

I wanted to bring to everyone's attention other GF beers, besides Redbridge. Anheiser Busch has done a great job with Redbridge and there is also New Grist and Bard's tale, which are also respectable beers. Today I tried the following beers from Green's: Discovery Amber Ale, Endeavor Double Dark Ale, and Quest Triple Blonde Ale. These are all brewed by a Belgian brewer. Here is the website
http://www.glutenfreebeers.co.uk/
Not sure how wide the distribution is within the US, but ask your local beer store because these are really good beers brewed in the Belgian tradition.

Hey there,
I actually had the Green's beer last week, too. They carry it at Risotteria in NYC. It's kind of expensive, but it was nice to have a beer with my GF pizza. And it wasn't bitter at all, which was very nice! _________________ ~Torrey
