At the end of June I'll be spending a few days in the Sacramento/San Francisco area. I've already found a couple of links that discuss restaurants with GF options. I'm mostly wondering if anybody knows of any "must try" restaurants in that area.

Some people miss the link on the Chapter 24 site, but I have a website at www.gfeldorado.zoomshare.com Go to the locals info section, and one of the topics has restaurant comments/recommendations.

Santa Cruz is near San Francisco, and there were so many GF options there I was in heaven!

I'm baaaack! The trip was great. SF is so very different than what I'm used to. And they need to stop hogging all the Vespas and Prius's. Sad

Anywho, the only food problem I had was at Rainforest Cafe, who apparently doesn't believe in a unified menu. Once I saw that nearly every bit of food was breaded I ordered a salad. I asked the waiter to keep any sort of bread products away. Plate came out with a big old hunk of bread anyway. Does anybody have any better experiences with them?

Ooh, I *love* San Francisco! Can't wait to head out there next month! Surprised

As for Rainforest Cafe, I haven't been there since before going GF, so I'm not sure...also, the ones by us have all closed shop, so there isn't one nearby anymore...sorry to hear you had such inattentive staff waiting on you! Confused
