I've just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at this resort. My husband and I went there to celebrate his 40th birthday.
I must eat GF but my husband does not. I must say that this is the second time we've travelled to a Sandals resort, and I have been able to eat without worry! Not even one bit!
Upon arrival the Food and Beverage manager met with me to discuss my food options. Every night, without fail, at each of the restaurants that we dined in, the chef would come to our table, (WITH GLUTEN FREE BREAD freshly prepared!) to discuss what I could eat on the menu. Let me tell you it was the most delicious food! Lobster, steaks, seafood, chicken . . .
When we checked out on Friday morning, the chef had a loaf of Gluten Free bread for me! I was thrilled to say the very least!
I just wanted you all to know that I have nothing to do with Sandals, or any travel resort, and to know that it is possible to have a great vacation, and to return home as you left! |

Happy belated bday!! Thanks for the heads up on Sandals. I'll keep that in mind while we save up enough $$ for another trip. _________________ Al

That sounds amazing. I am always humbled by the lengths some people/organizations go to accommodate. How nice to celebrate without worry.
I will definitely keep Sandals in mind. |

| That's awesome! We had a fabulous vacation at Sandals Antigua, but it was before I was GF! I'm so excited that this is an option again! Anybody know if Beaches will do the same thing? They're owned by the same company, and it's gonna be a while before I can get away without Lil bit. |

We stayed at Beaches Negril, Christmas 2006. There were plenty of food options, however, being newly diagnosed I didn't want to 'impose'. I've since learned to speak up!
I'm sure if you inform them before hand that they would accommodate.
My husband and I stayed at Sandals Negril in October. They had great food, I wasn't ill at all. But I have to say that the experience we had in Bahamas was above and beyond! We'll be staying at Sandals Whitehouse, Jamaica in the fall, I'll let you all know what kind of experience we have there! |

| Nice; thanks for the heads-up! (We are going to try a cruise or Disney for my first major GF vacation, but this is definitely good news!) |

Bear, I don't think you'll be disappointed in Disney's treatment special diets.

| On the subject of Beaches and Sandals, I have just returned from a week-long stay at Beaches Negril, where I got married on Friday. The staff was wonderful about helping me get gluten free food, and the chef made us a gluten free wedding cake! He said they had to make a few test cakes first, but the cake came out fabulous and looked just like their regular ones. It was so important to me to be able to eat the wedding cake at my own wedding and they made my dream come true. I also had a rehearsal dinner and a wedding reception dinner - the chef made sure I could eat almost everything at the dinners and came by to visit me at each event to go over the food with me and make sure I knew what was what. Now that I know I feel safe there, I will probably be staying within their line of resorts. |

Congratulations!
My wedding cake gave me an anxiety attack. That was before I knew gluten = _________________ Nance
