Ok...I'm trying hard to suppress my irritation. UGH. So I've made a couple of loaves of GFP favorite sandwich bread mix and they turned out fine. One rose, one didn't but they both were great. Now the last two have been horrible. the other day- it didn't rise at all...was doughy. Today it rose, but the consistency of the dough was runnier and less gummy?!? Anyway, it promptly sunk in the middle. I'm waiting to cut it still but it's so weird. How could my first two work, second two not work and still used to same mix? I'm a little desperate because my work schedule is so bad next month I really wanted to be able to bring sandwiches to work.
Anyway, has anyone else had issues with this?

| Thanks for the link. I'm not actually using a bread maker, but definitely the other tips were great...for next time. It's just weird to me that my first couple were great and now they suck! Beginner's luck I guess. I just kind of thought I was going crazy! |

I remember having similar issues in the beginning. It's strange when you have the exact same conditions, but one bread flops and the rest don't. Are you sure nobody messed with the bread machine while you weren't looking? _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

Did you proof the yeast to make sure it's active? |
