I've been using a brand of margarine that my DH really isn't crazy about and so when I saw that Fleishman's was GF I jumped on it. This morning he has a queezy stomach and now I read its got milk in it. Of course it does!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH, what a dope I am. I stopped using most margarines because of milk and now I go and forget. What do any of you that are dairy intolerant use? Thanks... from the DOPE! _________________ Judy

Hi Judy,
I'm trying to find an ingred. list for Fleishman's...but no luck yet.
I have found this tho... http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/stevecarper/margar.htm
It says Fleishmans contains NO MILK...hmmmmm Does the package have a P (maybe in a circle) on it? This means PARVE (no dairy and kosher).
I'm still looking..... _________________ Al

It looks like its the light fleishman's that contains no milk. The one I bought says CONTAINS MILK in big letters. UGH.... Thanks for the help once again, Al. _________________ Judy

Why not try nut butters or coconut oil? They are better for you, tast
good and eliminate the problem of trans fats and lactose.

I found Earth Balance Buttery Spread at Whole Foods (they also had it at Trader Joe's) and it was GREAT!! Gluten-Free and Lactose-Free and it tasted soooo buttery on fresh corn-on-the-cob! Give it a try!

To my understanding the only margarine that is milk free is Parkay Squeeze. I learned this from someone who is allergic to milk. Since I am lactose intolerant, I started using it and have been SO pleased. No problems from it at all. It is a wonderful product. Fleischman's used to be milk free but is not any longer. Hope this helps.
Blessings of hope and peace. _________________ Carolyn
