Are there any good and nutritious GF cereals? What I had found at Whole Foods market is just empty calorie cereals and nothing else in it, no vitamins or minerals. I miss my cereals.
Thank you for any suggestions!

Hello dalmatinka Very Happy I went to Henry's and purchased a box of wheat free and Gluten Free cereal. Let me tell you....I was surprised to find out that it was good. I can't remember the name, but I'll bring it into work tomorrow. It is a corn flake cereal coated with honey. I like that better than regular corn flakes and I don't even add sugar. I'll bring the name in for you. Razz also try the Wheat Free and Gluten-free cookies I also got at Henry's made by Mi-Del. They are not too bad. Mini Chocolate chip cookies. Laughing

Your cereal sounds delicious, but I live in Texas, and there is no Henry's here.
I am also avoiding soy, so it's not always easy to find something good and soy and gluten free. I love cereals and it doesn't have to have some special taste, but I would love to see some vitamins and minerals in it, and I cant found one like that. I love Kinnikinnick lemon raisins cookies, not bad. Thanks!

Hello Guest Very Happy
I believe that the cereal only has a few ingredients, I'll post them later friday and I'll give the name so that you can try and locate it in your area.
I'm in California Smile

Hi,

Have you checked out the GF cereals from www.naturespath.com ? I don't know what your version of healthy is...I think everyone is a bit different LOL!!

This will search for their GF products: http://www.naturespath.com/products/product_search/?SearchText=gluten+free&SearchButton=Search

There's also this from Bob's Red Mill: https://www.bobsredmill.com/catalog/index.php?action=showdetails&product_ID=203

Here's some more: Barabara's Brown Rice Crisps & Honey Rice Puffins, Corn Flakes

Kellogg's Corn Flakes and Frosted Flakes are gluten free. You might also want to try Fruity Pebbles.

Have they changed their product recently?

The last I knew Corn Flakes & Frosted Flakes had malt in them which makes them NOT GF

Fruity & Coco Pebbles are GF.

I buy A GF cereal called Crispy Brown Rice which is fairly good, but as you have found it doesn't have added vit-min. I add dried fruit to my cereal to give it a little boost. I dry a lot of my own fruit to use for this purpose. The cereal is by Erewhon. Site is www.usmillsinc.com. I was going to look and see what else they have to offer but I am short on time this AM.
Thanks for the info on Frosted Flakes. I knew the corn flakes were ok. I am not a sweet cereal eater but I am thinking the frosted flakes would be a good TV munchy snack.

Kelloggs website still shows malt.

I found this post from another board...it's dated 7/8/05

I just called Kellogg's to complain, I suggest that you do the same! The only Kellogg's products that are gluten free are the fruit snacks and the Eggo syrup. 800-962-1413

I emailed them this morning to get clarification on Corn Flakes & Frosted Flakes...we'll see what answer we get. I suspect the same answer.

As of Jan 05, they started adding wheat to Corn Pops (it was GF), because they were getting too many cross contamination compliants!

The Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice cereal makes very good Rice Krispies Treats! Used Kraft brand marshmallows and Saffola margarine.

If you want a cereal with lots of fiber the Amaranth cinnamon cereal is good and the strawberry Amaranth Ohs pack about 11 grams of fiber. For taste, I like Mesa Sunrise which I eat with Almond milk.

OK...here it is...straight from the horse's...uhhh Kelloggs mouth...

Sorry Gang...Kelloggs Corn Flakes & Frosted Flakes (any of their cereal) are not GF.

Thank you for contacting us to request information about gluten-free
products.

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer any grain-based cereal,
cookie or cracker products that are suitable for consumers on a
gluten-free diet. However, Kellogg's® Eggo™ Syrup and Kellogg's™ Fruit
Snacks are gluten and wheat-free and may be acceptable for consumers on
restricted diets.

We appreciate your interest in our company and products.
