Thanks Al!
It's such a nice surprise to find foods you like on the GF list!

Sweet! Thanks, Al. I knew their pepperoni's were GF (which I love and just ate some a few minutes ago, actually) and they even say they are GF on the back of the package, but I had no idea they had that many other things that were safe too! That's great! _________________ Sarah

LOL! My "Holy Crap" expression is usually in responce to negative surprises, but since I sometimes DO use it for positive surprises (if they are sharp enough), here it is, just for you, Al:

Can you use the regular Chebe Bread for pizza or do you have to use the pizza mix? Just wondering, have some Regular Chebe I was going to try, but I'd love to try it for pizza too, I've heard the Chebe pizza mix is great! Pizza is one of my bad foods I'm having a tough time saying goodbye to - can't wait to taste a really good GF one!

Hey Steve,
If I can make it (Cooking I do, Baking I don't do. I consider making the crust BAKING)...I'm sure you could make the Chebe Bread mix work for a pizza. You might want to add your own spices to "kick it up a notch" hehehehe
Chebe bread ingredients: Manioc (tapioca) flour, modified manioc starch, dry milk (no rBHG hormones), salt. http://www.chebe.com/orig.mx.htm
Chebe pizza ingreds: Manioc (tapioca) flour, modified manioc starch, salt, minced herbs [basil, garlic, onion, oregano, thyme]. http://www.chebe.com/piz.mx.htm
I really love the chebe 'za!! Peg likes it better than Dominos, Pizza Hut pizzas!! Of couse...I am making the pizza so that makes all the difference, right? right? LOL!!
I use hormel pepperoni's, Contandina Roma Tomato Style Pizza Sauce (be carefull - their Italian sauce was NOT GF the last time I checked). Artichoke hearts, black olives, green olives, onions...I'm getting hungry!
I have a whole series of pics and instructions on making the crust...some have trouble with it and I had to prove to them I could do it. FYI - I'm not much for baking - which making a crust kinda is When I get a chance, I'll post it. _________________ Al

Hey Steve,
Being the Firehouse Chef you are... |
I just realized that I had you confused with another Steve here. THAT Steve is a fireman out east. LOL!!
Sorry 'bout that! _________________ Al

Not a problem! I love rolling up my sleeves and diving into some cooking! Unfortunately, so does my Fiance Emily and it's a pretty small kitchen!

Looks like I'll be making some nachos with Hormel chili this weekend! (I got tested for food allergies again recently and my corn allergy is gone..) WOOHOO!! Been a while since I've had nachos.
And, the next time I make pizza, I'll be sure to use Hormel pepperoni. YUMMY!!
Thanks for the info, Al _________________
