The Chex mix was a success! Everybody at the party chowed down without knowing it was GF. I modified the recipe slightly. I used Rice Chex, pretzels, popcorn, mixed nuts, and only half of the butter/seasoning mix.
Next stop: puppy chow!  _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

Yeah, for us it's seasonal. This is not a summer type food. Definitely a fall/winter food. Hmmm, can't say that I really crave it in the summer. I'm sure if we made it during the summer, it'd disappear just as fast... _________________ Al

It's a seasonal craving food! Sorry, I had absolutely nothing useful to add to this discussion... _________________ Steph |

Isn't that funny! As a kid my mom always made it in the summer and we would eat at when at the beach, when having a picnic, etc. Don't ever remember having near the holidays.
A friend and I were having a similar chat about caramel. I make it in the fall--to go with apples; she makes it along with Christmas cookies. |
