A new dedicated GF Bakery (No CC issues - woot!) just opened up here last weekend. I have yet to check out their new digs but I've eaten their products before (food fairs, etc) and they're excellent. They even have croissants! (I haven't tried those yet, but I'm dying to) I know they're trying to set up an on-line ordering page soon too - so check 'em out and help support 'em or if you're near - stop by.

The Corbett Fish House is not to be missed. The Bob's Red Mill store is great too. We visited both of those places a few years ago.

I haven't been up to Portland yet, but there seem to be several GF places to try. In Corvallis, there is vegetarian restaurant, Nearly Normal's, with a gf menu and in Eugene, there's Cafe Yum which is not necessarily gf but a lot of their food is naturally gf and their orginal sauce they state as gf. Good stuff.

so exciting. I found out the bakery is open on Tuesday (and I will be there) the fish house looks cool, but not much for my vegetarian daughter who is traveling with me. maybe I can get some to go, as I have been craving fish and chips!

Torrey - are you up for a close encounter? I live 30 minutes outside of Seattle. You could visit Jenn in Portland and then stop by our place. Very Happy

I'd love to meet up with anyone in town! Very Happy

BTW for a list of GF friendly restaurants check out:
http://graindamaged.blogspot.com/
see the column down the side for restaurants and bakeries. For veggie/GF food you might want to go to Old Wives Tale (Menu notes which items are GF right in it). Hope to see you soon!
