I sent a message out tonight only to find the answer a few minutes later. I just want to cry. All my babies have this gene and seem to do better emotionally when on the GF diet. Also they stop suffering from constipation when they are on theGF diet. We just can't seem to get on the diet and stick to it. We do great for a week or two and then have a bad day or two. As it is, me and the kids have not been GF for almost two weeks. Yes, we are all suffering from constipation, also, the kids attitutes are awlful. They keep fussing with one another and this is not the way they usually act when they are GF. Tonight I told my oldest son "gluten sensitivity" doesn't mean he can be off the GF diet and he said " I know, mommy, I read it on the internet when you were reading" " Why doesn't daddy understand we need to be on the diet?" Drew was so understanding and I think he really is trying to get it. Only when he breaks his diet he really breaks his diet!!! All he craves is wheat. Pancakes, burgers with bread, pizza!!! No wonder his attitude is so bad this week.. He has been loading on the Gluten for almost two weeks. I feel so confused...I was hoping with all my heart that we wouldn't have any genes that predisposed us to Gluten problems and that Drew's fecal test would come back normal. I feel so sad Sad Sometimes being GF is so hard!!

There are many support groups just for parents and children dealing with this sweetie. You are not alone and it does get easier when you are helping one another too. If you and the children have no other big food issues then it will be much easier; if you are dealing with other food intlerances there are good alternatives for you all.
