Hiya folks
I am new to the boards here... just registered after spending the afternoon being enlightened. Have been kinda lost in the GF wilderness while waiting on the results of my blood tests. I think for the last 6 weeks or so I have been in a kind of denial even though my doc is confident that I am coeliac, but having spent the afternoon here reading about the symptoms a lot of you have had and still get, I think I now have to face it! lol.
Anyway to avoid a huge boring post, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself, even though this is a USA based board and I live in England, this is more helpful than any place I have found so far

Hi Star Struck,
Welcome to the world of celiac! This board is going to be a life-line for you, it really is for me. Just to know there are people experiencing the same thing we are is a comfort. Plus, these are some of the nicest people I've ever come across.
Good luck to you and hang in there. It truly does get easier with time.
Take care,

Hiya Chris,
Thanks for your reply, everyone here certainly seems to be very friendly and extra helpful, so far the only help I have received is to research coeliac diease on the internet while waiting on my test results... I don't think too many of the doc's at my surgery are up on this
I have learned so much more than I thought from here, now I know why my smptoms haven't gone away! Am about to go shopping armed with lists of good things I found on here, cheers you guys!
*hugs* xx _________________ It is better to be quiet and thought of as a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt

Hey Star!
Glad you've come to hang out with us! Heck - we don't care where you come from - just as long as you learn something and get on the road to health!
I'm at work right now...so I won't go in to a lot...just make yourself at home and look around. There's lots of info here...
Don't be afraid to ask questions, rant or rave...
Take care! _________________ Al

Hi Haley!
Welcome to the board - glad you found us!
Hang in there...it gets easier.
Since CD is genetic, you might consider getting your kids tested and those 3 grandkids too. They still could have CD even though they show no symptoms.
Hope you hang out with us for awhile. Lots of info here...so just make yourself at home and poke around
Good luck in your GF Journey...hopefully we can make it easier for you!

Hello All,
Maine is wonderful this time of year. The eating of Lobster, Clams and other seafoods is great!
Just really wanted to welcome everyone who is new here. I kinda breeze in and out like the wind so don't mind my comments everyonce in a while!
I do read alot of the posts but just keep quiet at times.
Take care all!

Hello Star,
Welcome! I hope you find your stay at the Celiac forums very informative and reassuring. I was recently diagnosed, June 14th -- and am still new at this. The information you will discover on this site is -- how should I put this -- priceless? I am 19 yeard old and wow! This gluten free diet is a definite lifestyle change.
Again, welcome.
Cheers.
