I have been gluten free for about 6 weeks or so and have been told by others that allergies change. I have been getting curious about some of my food allergies and thought I would see what would happen if I ate something I have been allergic to for 27 years. I ate some avocado and guess what? I didn't swell up, my throat didn't close up and my stomache didn't double me over. I'm thrilled. I love avocados and it's been terrible not being able to eat them but just one of those things you avoid because it makes you ill like gluten. I'm am one happy camper. My next feat will be peaches. Haven't had one in 30 years and I love them. I can't even touch them without gloves on. Don't want to do too many things at once.

Thanks for the advise. I didn't eat the whole avocado because my inner self said "Hum, maybe that isn't such a good idea". Just a couple of bites, it was so yummilicious, but I will be cautious. Thanks Ann
