Before I was diagnosed with CD I had a lot of problems with cramps and pain. They thought I had endo, but I had a laparoscopy ( don't think I spelled that right) and found out that I actually have ovarian cysts. I still have trouble with them. I guess Celiac and feminine problems go together. For me though birth control pills did help with the pain and cramps during my time of the month. _________________ It only gets better from here. |

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in August of 2005. I had 13 day menstral cycles, and ovarian cysts while on the pill. It actually turned out I was ovulating through the pill and was forming cysts because of the fiborids caused by the endometriosis. It was also on the nerve to my right leg, and my leg would go numb even when I was walking. I had a laporoscopy in August of 2005 and then went on 6 months of lupron shots.
I was diagnosed in November 2007 with Celiac disease. My doctors have told me that while both issues deal with my immune system reaction to my body, they do not know if there is any direct cause, but that it definatley prolonged my diagnosis of celiac, because the symptoms seems random and disconnected. But I feel that they are conected and when I have problems with one, my body has a harder time dealing with the other. ? |

I too have PCOS and I think I probably have endometriosis as well, however I haven't had a lap to find out. I had endometrial ablation back in June because my periods were so horrible and I cannot take BC pills anymore because they gave me pulmonary embolisms a few years ago.
I've been struggling right now with a cyst on my right ovary that is pretty horrible, but I have a feeling it must be going away because it hasn't been bothering me as much. |

Prior to my getting pregnant, I found the following website, and it helped me during the month to get through those awful periods I had.
There's a diet apparently for Endo, and it is so close to the GF diet that it wasn't that hard to tweak what I was eating to help myself out further.
http://www.endo-resolved.com/diet.html
Hope that helps you guys! _________________
