Does anyone have a good recipe for homemade cream soup substitute? I ran across one last week but can't find the instant low sodium to I am thinking I can just use reg. low sod. salt. Here is the recipe for anyone interested.
2 cups instant non fat dry milk
3/4 c cornstarch
1/4 c instant low sodium
1 chicken bouillon or beef
2 teasp dried onion flakes
1 teasp basil and thyme opt
2 teasp pepper
Combine dry ingred. To make the equivalent of one can of soup use 1/3 cup of the mix and 1 1/2 cup of water and cook until thickened. Mushrooms can be added for mushroom base.

Hi DK,
Creamed Soup Base:
1 cup dry milk powder or nondairy sub.
1 cup white rice flour
2 tblsp dried minced onions
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
3 tblsp GF powdered soup base (chicken or veg.)
Store in airtight container. This will make the same as 8-9 cans of soup.
Add a few tablespoons of this dry mix to water or stock and you can have Cream of Anything Soup

Beats me what instant sodium. I just figured salt???? Thanks for your recipe. Looks good
