I just wanted to tell you guys that I just ate a CLIF Nectar fruit and nut bar which I thought was pretty delicious. The one I ate was lemon, vanilla, & cashew. It was kind of like a Larabar, only chunkier and I liked the consistency better. The wrapper says: "We source ingredients which do not contain soy, wheat, gluten or dairy, and are not genetically engineered." The fat content is pretty high, it carries 6g of fat in its 160 calories, but I think they might be "good fats." It also carries an impressive 6g of fiber, 5g of which is insoluble. It is supposed to be "low glycemic." The first ingredient is dates.

Anyway I really liked the flavor, and for 160 calories, it seems to be one of the best ones I have had. I think I have found a new emergency food for my purse Smile

Yep - that's my favorite flavor too, though I haven't had a Clif Nectar that I don't like yet. Smile

Question? All the Clif bars I have seen contain oats, are there some that don't or are you eating them because oats are maybe, probably, this week sort of OK? Question Confused I guess I'm old school we couldn't have oats and I'm still not ready to jump on the oat bandwagon, particularly in pre-made products. I would however love to find really tasty bars, I am not particularly fond of the Lara bars.

Clif *Nectar* bars (there's the distinction) don't contain any gluten ingredients and are labeled as such. The Nectars are a specific variety of Clif bars. Regular Clif bars and their other varieties do contain gluten (oats etc), as far as I know, and are still off the list.

Nope, the only oats I eat are from Gifts of Nature or the other company, and I have only had oats from them once or twice since DX'd. Smile
