Has anyone had any kind of food experience with Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH? It looks like they *might* have some options (fries in a dedicated fryer), but on their FAQ, they answer a big fat NO to "Do you offer Gluten Free food?"

Unfortunately, not going isn't really an option - my sister in law who lives in another country is in to visit, and we all like the rides there. (Though it definitely makes me think that for my own vacationing purposes, Disney FTW....)
At least I am pre-warned and can pack my own food...*sigh*... |

Well, this went well as far as fun goes, and we just packed a picnic for everyone, so I had my food with everyone else's and we just ate outside the park. It was cheaper, too.
I didn't check out any of the fried food places for fries in dedicated friers, because I was trying to avoid that stuff. (Actually, this trip was far better for the waistline than previous ones; I actually didn't have *any* ice cream, funnel cakes, fries, or other garbage, other than a few Enjoy Life GF cookies that DH and SIL found when they went shopping for the picnic. )
They do have Ben & Jerry's and Dippin' Dots in the park, but I didn't check out the gluten status of either beforehand, and just avoided them in favor of a Frosty on the way home since I know that gluten status. |

Good choice. Not only did you avoid gluten, but you were nicer on your waistline too!
Hmmm, Dippin Dots is kinda vague:
| Quote: | Contact or consumption of products made with peanuts or peanut oil may cause allergic reactions in some people. Some of our products are flavored with peanut oil and/or peanuts. Although we make every effort to segregate this ice cream, all of our products are made in the same facility. A "Contains Peanuts" symbol appears over the picture of each flavor containing peanuts. All flavors are listed on our Products page.
In addition, our ice cream does not contain gluten, although it may be present in certain add-ins. We use flavorings provided to us by other companies which are made in facilities that manufacture products with gluten. |
I wonder what the "certain add-ins" are. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={
