To the person who asked about what she can bring to her neighbor's BBQ GF but enjoyable to all, here's my suggestion:

Korean BBQ recipe

1 lb. London Broil or other tender roast, cut very thinly cross grain (freeze slightly for easier slicing)
You can substitute chicken or pork as well.

Marinade:
3 Tbs toasted sesame oil
1/2 cup GF soy sauce (La Choy and Target brands are GF)
1/4 cup White wine vinegar or Rice wine vin.
2-3 Tbs heaping minced garlic (to taste, but better with more)
1/3 cup brown sugar
6 green onion, chopped
1/4 tsp red pepper or cayenne flakes (don't use Italian style with seeds)
2 Tbs toasted sesame seeds

Whisk all marinade ingredients in large bowl, then add meat, thoroughly soaking all meat. Cover and refridgerate for at least 4 hours, overnight is best. Stir occasionally. Cook on grill, covered with punctured foil.
You can take the raw, marinated meat to the BBQ, or go ahead and grill in batches at home. The pieces take up the entire surface of a large grill.

I am 1/2 Korean, and I was truly surprised to find out my CD diagnosis, since it's rare in Asians, and my mother is Irish/Cherokee. I was truly depressed at the thought that I could no longer cook Korean, since I searched and hadn't found a GF soy sauce. Most of my best dishes are family recipes, such as above. I hope you and your neighbors enjoy, I have even found semi-vegetarians at international school picnics unable to resist the unbelievable aroma, sampling guiltily.
