I am 62 years old and was diagnosed with celiac disease one year ago. I am sticking very closely to a gluten free diet and feel better than I have in years. I have gained twenty pounds which I needed very badly and have no more stomach cramps and or diarreah. I feel blessed. I eat mostly fresh fruits and veggies and grilled chicken seasoned with lemon , salt and pepper.

Leerette welcome to the board I'm glad to hear that you are doing well. I was dx'ed in dec 04 I have been very faithful to my gluten free diet. I also have other dx's I just got out of the hospital again this is like the 4 th time. I have been through the losing of weight than gaining it now losing it again. I just need to keep my weight at the right level & get well again. It takes me about a whole month to get back to normal. I have to be well soon because I'm planning my wedding. It drags me down when I can't do nothing & everyone has to it for me.
